Delphine Maniglier, designer

15 December 2013 to 22 February 2014

Delphine Maniglier is a young, local designer. She loves travelling and her journeys have become her principal source of inspiration. It is there that she finds her raw materials, concepts and ideas.

She defines her work as ‘ecological footprints’ and each subject matter has a close link with nature and the future of the environment.

Delphine studied at the art schools of Brest and Annecy - two areas where she has roots – and then went on to become a Bachelor of Art and Design at Nottingham Trent University.

In between travels, she lives in the village of La Frasse in Haute Savoie.

“As a designer, I have a responsibility to design and create objects in a sustainable manner. They should have meaning or stimulate emotion, so that people feel they are worth keeping, repairing and passing down to future generations.”
