Painting on concrete

Émilie Ding (1981-)

Émilie Ding is a Swiss artist who qualified with a diploma in Visual Art from the Geneva Higher School of Art and Design in 2008. She often works with architecture on concrete supports. She has exhibited her work at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris and the MAMCO contemporary art museum in Geneva.

The work

Echo Waves can be seen on the road that leads up to Flaine. It is a homage to Marcel Breuer’s architecture, which uses repeating motifs on concrete surfaces to create a play of light and shade.
